Leave a legacy of caring for others and help us build a foundation for our future. Planned gift proceeds support ongoing affiliate operating expenses and Partner Family houses.
Make a bequest in your Will or Living Trust. Or, designate Habitat as beneficiary in life insurance, retirement accounts, brokerage accounts or other financial assets. Be sure to identify us as Habitat for Humanity of Portage County. We are a 501(c) 3 organization.
We welcome and appreciate all planned gifts, regardless of size. Please contact us so we can properly acknowledge you during your lifetime and incorporate your intentions into Habitat’s long-range financial planning. You will be recognized on our Planned Giving Honor Roll, prominently displayed in our office. Or, you can remain anonymous. The amount of your planned gift will be held in strict confidence.

Making a planned gift
The most common planned gift is through a bequest through your will which everyone can make. You can include a bequest to Habitat for Humanity of Portage County for a specific percentage or dollar amount of your estate. Suggested language for a bequest is as follows:
Specific Bequest
“I bequeath a ______% or the sum of $______ to Habitat for Humanity of Portage County, Inc. PO Box 306, 6630 Cleveland Rd. Ravenna, OH 44266 to be used as its governing body shall determine.”Residential Bequest
“I devise and bequeath all or ______% of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, of whatsoever nature and kind and wheresoever situate, to Habitat for Humanity of Portage County, Inc. PO Box 306, 6630 Cleveland Rd. Ravenna, OH 44266 to be used as its governing body shall determine.”Federal Tax ID # 34-1604235
